	Daughter of Peter and Grace (NewMeyer) Mulder Married Burl A Kunkel on January 17, 1946 Obituary; Dorothy M. Kunkel March 30, 1923 - Sept. 29, 1998 Dorothy Marie Kunkel, 75, 1305 K St., formerly of Heltonville, died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in Bedford, after a lengthy illness. Born in Kalamazoo, Mich., she was the daughter of Peter and Grace (NewMeyer) Mulder. She married Burl A. Kunkel on Jan. 17, 1946, and he died Feb. 21, 1978. She was a homemaker and member of the Free Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters: Shirley Beal of Bedford and Barbara Amstutz of Williams; two grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers: Donald, Raymond and Harold Mulder. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Day & Carter Mortuary, Bedford, with the Rev. Bob Carder and the Rev. Richard Chase officiating. Burial will follow in Gilgal Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the mortuary.
