Heat Drives Crooked Lake Resorters Into the Water
Despite the fact that every train during the past week brought people to Crooked lake to escape the heat of the city, nevertheless Crooked lake resort has not for several years experienced more intense heat than that of the past week. Resorters went Into the water and remained there to keep cool.
Every cottage is filled, however, and the rain which came Friday was indeed most welcome. The atmosphere was considerably cleared and now the weather conditions are ideal. Several house parties are being enjoyed at the lake this week, making it a merry place indeed.
At Pleasant View H. Garret Frentheway, Clarence Herden, Clarence Meyer, John Bos, John Mulder, Paul Bezemer, Charles Weissner and Ed Ossward have been enjoying a house party for the past week. Fishing, boating and marshmallow roasts have been the diversions, which have made the week a merry one for them and all the resorters as well. ...
