MR. AND MRS. JOHN WERKMAN
Fifty-four years ago last May, John Workman came to this country from The Netherlands. On October 10 of the same year, Alta Mulder also arrived from The Netherlands. Four years later, on October 10, 1885, they were married in Kalamazoo and today their many friends are wishing them happiness on their Golden Wedding Anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. Workman were among the first settlers in this community, having moved into their present home at the corner of Mosel Avenue and Pitcher Street in 1891. They have been blessed with five children, four daughters and one son. There are three daughters still living, Miss Jennie Werkman, Mrs. Gertrude Kruizenga and Alta F.
Werkman, and one grandson, John H. Kruizenga.
Mr. Werkman is an old-timer with the KVP Company, having started work here in August, 1918. He is employed as a stock weigher in Mill No. 1 beater room.
On this memorable occasion, we, their friends in Parchment, extend our sincere best wishes and congratulations.
